What is the World Final?

The World Final is the ultimate climax of the OffShore Rib Rally 785! After having beaten the waves in a long but exciting European Tour, it is now up for the even more demanding stuff: the week long World Final, where no less then about 400NM must be conquered!

The World Final differs from the European Tour in a few ways. Of course it is about fast RIBs and competition in the World Final as well. However, the World Final is a UniClass event. Every team will have the same boat and the same engine! At least 6 Rally Stages will be held, next to 2 or 3 other Eundurance Sport Stages, all of them with a different value in points to be gathered.

UniClass Concept

Where during the European Tours multiple classes are held within the ranking, the World Final only consists of one special class: The Ribeye 785s LE Class. This means that all teams are competing with the exact same equipment, creating the ultimate equalness in chances for the final victory!

And you do not need to own your own Ribeye 785s LE. Of course, if you do, you can bring it. If you don’t, we will just simply take care of that for you.

A specialized technical team will make sure all RIBs will be equal, even those that are privately owned by participating teams. So, in the end it is only about guts and talents that will bring the glory…

Endurance Sports and Navigational Issues

As mentioned, there is much more to the Rib Rally then just driving your boat from A to B as fast as possible, although that is already much fun indeed! During the European Tour, also navigational and technical  courses will be integrated in the Rallies, as boating is more than just putting the throttle down. Compas routing, GPS positions and short curse rallying will be part of the event ánd ranking!

During the World Tour. next to the above given challenges, also other endurance sports will be on the program. Some paddling, swimming and/or running, and probably even Jetskiing will be integrated into the Rallies. However, the main focus will of course be on Ribbing.

Everybody can join the World Final

The teams that are participating in the Rib Rally World Final, do not need to qualify themselves during other Rib Rally Events. Even if you haven’t joined one of the European Tour Events, you can still subscribe for the World Final. Although, for training, experience and better chances for a high ranking, it is of course adviced to have been competing in at least on of the European Tour already, even if it only was to just become part of the scene as soon as possible…
