Scheveningen Triangle - NL

The roots of the Dutch Rib Rally lie within the Sea Grand Prix, previously held in IJmuiden (NED) and Texel (NED). In 2009, the Sea Grand Prix was definitely renamed Rib Rally - The Scheveningen Triangle, and set a firm base in the most well known bathing resort of The Netherlands, Scheveningen, the beach city of bigger The Hague.

With a start and finish right before it’s major landmark, The Pier, The Scheveningen Triangle was immediately welcomed by both the local authorities and public as a new spectacular event, creating an attraction at the last weekend of the beach season.

Wide variety in rallying

The Pier in Scheveningen, together with the main harbour entrance just 4 kilometer south, created a perfect setting of realizing a wonderful public event. RIBs rallying with speeds of 100 kilomters per hour, only 400 meters away from the shoreline give the audience a great feeling of the extreme adrenaline rush felt by the participants.

So, The Scheveningen Triangle is a different kind of rally, where the teams will rally in a “short circuit” of triangular shape. This is created as the big finale for the European Tour, in which different talents of team are required. On the Saturday, the first day of The Scheveningen Triangle, a long distance rally is still held, where the rally will take all the teams towards the South, and head for the Belgian Coast: Zeebrugge! Combining the stages of the Scheveningen Triangle, with both long distance rallying and a shore-circuit technical public rally, it for sure makes it a Rib Rally worthy Grand Finale!

Bilderberg Europa Hotel

Located at walking distance from the Scheveningen Pier and beach, is the Bilderberg Europa Hotel. In the Bilderberg Europa Hotel you can find the best of two worlds: The calming sound of the sea and the lively centre of Scheveningen.
On the boulevard you will find fancy boutiques, the exhilarating Crazy Pianos and the beautiful Kurhaus. The hotel has a spectacular view of the beach and the impetuous North Sea.
